Raymond Moreau Crosby an Appreciation from the Class of '98.

New Haven, CT: Edith T. A. Crosby, 1946. 1 of 200. 21pp, illus. Original printed wrappers. Minor soil and creasing, internally clean and very good. Crosby (1876-1945) was a Yalie who studied art in France and became an illustrator, lithographer and painter mostly in Massachusetts. Late in life he moved to Santa Fe for his health. Apparently it didn't work, as he died shortly thereafter. This is a collection of his letters to friends written in Santa Fe. They are pleasant and urbane - a little too urbane, in fact, as he says little about New Mexico and more about his life back east. However, several of his illustrated letters are reproduced, some with sketches of scenes in Santa Fe. A really obscure New Mexico item. Item #26525
