Resources of Montana; "The Land of Opportunity."

Helena: Greenfield, Chas. D., 1919. 255pp, illus, maps. Original printed wrappers. Slight soil to wraps, small sticker to the top corner of the front wrap, else near fine. A detailed description of the resources, opportunities, and attractions of the state with chapters on agriculture, mines and mining, manufacturing, roads, recreation, climate, education, oil and gas, lumber and forests, and more. There is a full page map of each county with a facing page of descriptive text. Unusual for such a promotional, there is a frank discussion of the drought of the year 1919, "Éthe driest Montana has ever experienced." Rains failed during the growing season, and unusual heat reduced the mountain snowpack too soon. "The people of the state are undaunted, however, and are making the usual preparations for the season of 1920." A very detailed presentation in remarkable condition. Item #22607
