Lone War Trail of Apache Kid.

Pasadena: Trail's End Publishing Co., Inc., 1947. 143pp, illus (one by Charles M. Russell). Limited edition, one of 250 numbered and signed by both authors. Dust jacket worn with some chipping and short tears, padded leatherette boards with slight edgewear, internally near fine. The Apache Kid was a trusted Indian scout in Arizona in the 1880's but got into a couple of scrapes and fled into the hills of the southwest and Mexico. The remainder of his life was a mystery and every unexplained murder in the region was blamed on him. Ramon Adams says of this bio, "A well-written history, and up to the time of it's publication the most nearly complete work on this notorious Arizona Indian outlaw." Rare praise from the usually critical bibliographer. 6Guns 748. Item #17552
