St. Louis: The Texas Railway Guide Co., 1919. 136pp. Original printed wrappers. Edge chipping, one third of the back wrap torn away, pages browned. An exceedingly fragile guide that "Contains complete time tables of all railways in Texas and Oklahoma together with a reliable hotel directory." It was published monthly, this being the September 1919 issue, Volume XXIV, No. 9. No doubt monthly updates were called for as the cover notes, "20 roads change time in this issue." There are timetables for more than 110 railroads including the Motley County Railway Co. that ran eight miles from Matador to Matador Junction and back once a day. Item #17584
