The Chambers family crossed the plains to Oregon in 1845, and here he gives an account of the trip via Laramie, Fort Hill, Bridger and Boise to the Dalles. They wintered at the Dalles, later going to Oregon City, Vancouver and Puget Sound before finally settling in 1847 at Tualatin Plains. Valuable pioneer information as well as material on the Indian War of 1855-6. A rare item, written in 1904 and printed in a small edition for the family in 1947. Howes C270, Mintz 85.
